It would be more advisable to introduce new classes. Do the math and you will agree that through introduction of new classes the number of playable options would be much higher.
This new profession related blabbering is just pathetic. Looks like a patch work, and a cheap one.
what's mentioned for the expansion is pretty much standard fair. In fact, a lot of first expansions dont even get a new race.
Im sure in future expansions (And I bet there will be many..EQ is on ..9 now I think, and that never had the amount of people WoW has) there'll be new classes.
Talk like this really "grinds my gears". EverQuest was a superbly ridiculous cash cow of a "game" - the more people compare the two games... its as if you are saying what EQ did was acceptable. The more people talk like this, the more WoW folks will obviously take note that this is what the community is expecting anyway... so why not crank out some useless cash cow expansion sets which SHOULD have been content patches included in the monthly fee.
And no I'm not saying thats what this expansion is or anything like that (although I am pretty annoyed of the progress of WoW)... I certainly hope not, although I suspect it will be.
So much for Outland "being in the game" already. The amount of things I feel mislead about by pre-release WoW hype / previews / whatever is astouding.

????? outland is in the game already, if blizzard is going to open it in expansion just shows how cheap they are, trying to make more money from the content that was supposed to be patch content:s

Sorry if it came out like that mate, I didnt mean it to. My point was that a lot of WoWers come from D2 and WC3, and expansions for games like that happen a little differently than MMORPG expansions. (Classic example, a person without Frozen Throne cant play with a person with it...in a MMORPG, people just cant access expansion content). Just dont want people to have undue expectations.
For the record, I only played EQ for like 6 months..I was just making an example.

The rumours says that the Outland in the expansion will be vastly bigger than the Outland model already in the game, so Blizzard is redoing it completely.
Spellbreaker is the dumbest class idea ever. Not only does it have a stupid name, but to make a class that is obviously much stronger than casters and much weaker than melee is plain retarded.
The original Italian article doesn't sound too far-fetched, though I don't know if I like the whole Blood Elf thing.
Okay so far I would not buy the expansion if Blizzard wouldn't add anything more than that. I have never seen such a weak expansion. But things might still change.
There is one thing I want to mention or question. Why would the cross realm BGs be a part of the expansion? It is a technical thing that Blizzard has to solve with their servers architecture. If the cross faction BGs would be an expansion only thing, then people who don't buy the expansion can no longer PvP inside the BGs. So I truly hope that information had absolutely nothing to do with the expansion. You can't force people to buy an expansion for a feature they can use now but can't any longer when the expansion comes out. And they can't just make cross faction BGs and keep the old ones. Most people buy the expansion, so that would still screw some of their customers. You simply can't take away a feature in that fashion.
The expansion hasn't even been officialy announced yet, and its still in development. Whats been leaked is whats been shown to a magazine, not EVERYTHING that will be included. Its like when they came up with the idea to make the expansion, you know what was going to be in the expansion at that time? Nothing. I'm sure more will be added as time goes on, and more that they are keeping in their bag for now.
You are right on BGs, but if you look at the way Blizzard usualy does things you'll have insight in the way this will probably go down. It's more properly stated "By the time the expansion is released, the battlegrounds will be shared between servers in order to eliminate queues." Blizzard always makes changes to their core came to coincide with the expansion. They never just abandon the core came.
BTW guys, Wikipedia has a page on the World of Warcraft Expansion with really well done and good information. I recommend looking at that before discussing more.
How can any of you think what blizzard has said will be all that in the x pack, just look at all their past ones, war3x was a whole game, it couldve been stand alone, i bet this xpack will have just as much stuff as the original if not more.
The "expansion note" looks like complete crap, but the article translation looks real. Their are screenshots, and a scan of the article with pictures in it.
Putting Blood Elves with the Horde makes it practically impossible for them to make a 3rd faction. The Naga, Blood Elf, Draenei faction is outforever.

The Forsaken have their own agenda... they may start their own faction with whomever they seem fit.
