New Account/Authentication Key Question

Does anybody know if the account you crate is tied to the authentication key you provide to Blizzard? Put another way, could I log into my account on another person's computer provided they had the software installed or is it one of those deals where your account must match the key associated with that particular install?

The software is freeware, you don't pay for that. You can download it for free off the net legitimately. The code in the box is for the account. You can use this account anywhere you want, any computer with an up to date version of World of Warcraft, how else would internet cafes work?

The key has absolutely no interaction with the software, the installation is seperate from the key. The Key is only used for the account. Once the account is created, typing in the same username/password combination will log you in with your characters at any installation. If someone came to your computer and used thier own details, they would log in on thier account and only be able to use thier characters.
